Facilities are no longer just sticks and bricks and the world of IoT has become mainstream in the built environment. In addition, the trend toward full integration of HVAC systems, digital signage, electrical systems, early detection sensors and access/security systems with other management systems is on the rise. The church world needs to be aware of these IoT options and utilize the ones that fit their vision and mission all the while increasing operational and energy efficiencies. And…as IT professionals, we need to understand our role in partnering with the Facility Managers at our church.  The future is NOW!
